Community guidelines
Starlight is for people who love to sing. These rules keep it welcoming for everyone.
Be kind
- No harassment, bullying, threats or targeting of individuals.
- No hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, and similar).
- Disagreeing is fine. Cruelty isn’t.
Keep it safe
- No sexual or sexually suggestive content involving anyone, and no content that sexualises minors, ever.
- No graphic violence, glorification of self-harm, or content that encourages dangerous acts.
- No doxxing or sharing someone’s private information.
- No scams, spam, fake engagement, or misleading impersonation of other people or brands.
Sing your own voice
- Post recordings of yourself. Takes are vocal-only, so please don’t post the original artist’s recording or other people’s audio.
- Only publish lyrics, audio or timings you have the right to share. See our copyright policy.
- Duets are a collaboration: credit stays with the original singer, and singers can turn duets off.
Play fair
- Don’t use multiple accounts, bots or scripts to boost points, ratings or rankings.
- Creators: describe your packs honestly and don’t publish content you don’t have the right to.
You’re in control
You can make your account private, choose who sees each take, turn off comments or duets, mute or block anyone, and delete your content whenever you like. Use the Report button on any take, comment, profile or pack to tell us about a problem.
What happens when rules are broken
We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts. Serious harm (such as child safety, credible threats, or repeated copyright infringement) can lead to immediate removal and, where required, reports to the authorities. Three active copyright strikes suspend an account. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected].
